We partnered with a U.S.-based start-up to design and develop a custom healthcare networking app that connects medical professionals, students, and organizations within a secure, purpose-built digital platform. More than just another social network, this app serves as a purpose-built professional community where users can build relationships, share insights, and discover career opportunities in a secure and specialized environment.
Unlike generic social platforms, this app provides tailored functionality for the healthcare domain. Verified users can build their profiles, share knowledge, post updates, and engage in meaningful discussions with like-minded peers. The platform bridges academic, clinical, and professional silos, offering a trusted environment for ongoing networking and career development.
On the organizational side, healthcare institutions can create official accounts, post job listings, and attract qualified candidates directly from the community. Job posting is integrated with Stripe-based payments, enabling seamless monetization for employers while keeping the experience ad-free for professionals subscribed to premium plans.
The app was designed and built in just four months by a focused team of three developers, showcasing the efficiency of tight collaboration and well-scoped planning.

The Driving Idea
With over 70 million healthcare professionals worldwide and a rapidly growing population of medical students and graduates, there is still no dedicated platform built specifically for networking, job discovery, and knowledge sharing in the healthcare industry. Medical students struggle to find mentorship, career guidance, and exposure to real-world opportunities. Healthcare professionals lack a centralized platform to connect with peers, share industry knowledge, or explore career shifts across institutions and specialties. Meanwhile, hospitals and clinics often face challenges in reaching verified candidates and promoting job openings through relevant, targeted channels. They are often scattered across broad platforms that don’t cater to their unique needs. (There’s a growing need for a specialized digital space where verified healthcare users — from students to seasoned practitioners — can network, learn, and grow.

Tools & Technologies
To deliver a scalable, secure, and responsive platform tailored for healthcare professionals, we utilized a robust and modern tech stack. The mobile application was developed using React Native, styled with Native Wind (a Tailwind CSS adaptation for React Native), ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience across both Android and iOS devices. The admin panel was built using React.js and Tailwind CSS, offering an intuitive interface for managing job postings, user data, and community content.
The backend architecture was powered by MongoDB, selected for its flexibility and ability to handle diverse user roles and content structures with ease. Our development team — consisting of a React Native mobile developer, a React.js frontend developer, and a full-stack backend engineer — collaborated closely to ensure seamless integration between all components of the system.
For key app services, we leveraged Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Twilio was integrated for SMS communications, while Amazon SES (Simple Email Service) handled all transactional and system-level emails.
To ensure top-tier security, we implemented Cloudflare alongside Google Enterprise reCAPTCHA to protect against bots and malicious activity. For data insights, we used Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track user behaviour, while Firebase Performance Monitoring SDK and Vercel Analytics provided real-time visibility into mobile and web performance, respectively. For internal QA and stakeholder testing, Firebase App Distribution facilitated the streamlined delivery of development builds.
